Course Objectives:
- Discover fundamentals of bearing and power transmission products
- Identify various styles of ball and roller bearings
- Learn about linear motion products and their uses
- Identify different types of belting including v-belts, timing, and flat belts
- Understand difference in couplings depending on the application
- Recognize different mounted unit bearings
- Discuss sealing devices and their usesLearn about chain drives
- Identify critical dimensions and functions of speed reducers
- Discover alternative locking devices with PT components to eliminate use of standard key fitting practices
