Airframe Control Bearings
Airframe control bearings are manufactured to meet the stringent demands of aircraft control and aerospace applications. Manufactured in accordance with U.S. military specifications (MIL-SPEC) and made from stainless steel or other metals or materials, airframe control bearings are resistant to corrosion, shock, and temperature extremes. Airframe control bearings are available in numerous styles and sizes to meet required speeds and loads.
Due to their precision manufacture and durability, airframe control bearings have also been used in a wide variety of applications outside the aircraft industry, including medical devices, robotics, and materials handling systems – virtually any application requiring a high load capability and oscillatory and/or slow rotation. Airframe control bearings can be heat-treated or sealed against chemicals or extreme temperatures. Coatings and plating such as dry film, thick or thin dense chrome, zinc nickel, and silver are also available. Lubrication options are designed to support devices that operate at high and low temperature extremes. Bearing Service stocks several common airframe control bearings and has the ability to source hard to find product.
